Stumbled across an ad for a local band ..FOREBODINGS..on FB..May 2022...seeking a vocalist.
I heard their tracks...became intrigued by the style, genre meshing,
vibe and the 3 piece band that consists of a fellow father and his two sons.
I thought it would be cool to try some vocals out on their song instrumental..as I liked what I heard from the recording they did a couple years back.

I contacted the band with my interest in trying out..just to see what might come of it...a vocal slot..or whatever destiny had in store..
as I haven't heard a local band with this vibe in a while..
compromised of a dad....older..and two sons..younger..
with damn fine taste in hard rock, metal, doom metal..
just good music influenced by the metal and beyond retro realms.

So...knowing that it is Father's Day..I decided ..instead of waiting for an instrumental mix down of the song to try my vocals on...just to see what might develop...as a demo audition of sorts...
I thought...why not just jump on it..and COVER their
bad ass song ...and just have some fun..
as an ODE to how..even a handful of songs..can inspire someone to dig a band...NO 10 song album or EP...a few songs...were all it took..
the riffs...basslines...drumming..and the vocal vibe that showed me where they were at vocally..and maybe..just maybe..what I was able to lay down ..could be at least..a decent ode to the inspiration and influence..along with our musical commonalities and our musical differences...might perhaps gel for a moment in time..
as I wanted to cover their song...with my style..trying to feed off of their original best I could for being a flawed n raw musician, artist...music creator.
Trying to keep more of a clean vocal vibe..as I heard from the original..but with my own twist..
adding some parts...not playing exactly..but following their road map for the most part..
and giving it a recording fun go...in the name of respect for what they have done and the potential I hear in their music...so far.
